🍰 Our Story
The original Guadalajara Bakery sign has welcomed neighbors since 1984, a glowing beacon of fresh bread and warm smiles. In 1984, our parents opened the doors to Guadalajara Bakery on West Armitage Avenue in Chicago’s Hermosa neighborhood. What began as a humble family dream soon blossomed into a local tradition. Founded by the Perez family and named in honor of our roots, the bakery was more than just a business – it was a way for Mom and Dad to share the warmth of home and the recipes of our heritage with the community. They believed that if you treat customers like family and bake every item with love, people will feel that care in every bite.

❤️ Community & Tradition
For over 40 years, Guadalajara Bakery has been part of Chicago’s Hermosa community — a place where neighbors meet, friendships form, and everyone feels like family.
We’re proud to support local events, schools, and families who’ve supported us through the years. Our loyal customers aren’t just guests — they’re an extension of the Pérez family.
Stop by, share a story, and enjoy a taste of home. Whether you’re a longtime friend or visiting for the first time, bienvenidos a la familia.
